Yesterday, the McDade FFA competed in the District Speaking Development Event contest in Elgin. Our members had a very successful evening, and we are extremely proud of each of them for their hard work and dedication.

Today, April 29, 2026, McDade ISD recognizes Fentanyl Awareness Day.

We want to take a moment to remind our families how important it is to stay informed and have open conversations with your children. Fentanyl is a powerful substance that can sometimes be present in other drugs without a person knowing, making it especially dangerous.

Talking with your child—even briefly—about making safe choices, understanding risks, and coming to a trusted adult for help can make a real difference.

Our goal is always to keep our students safe, supported, and informed. If you ever have questions or would like resources, we’re here for you.

We’re in this together—school and home.
