FAFSA INFORMATION
All Texas high school seniors are required to fill out the FAFSA or sign an opt-out waiver. This is a graduation requirement.
Step 1 - Create an FSA ID account- allow 3-4 days to process before starting the FAFSA
Step 2 - Gather your tax information, and necessary documents
Step 3 - Start the 25-26 FAFSA
McDade Watermelon Festival Scholarship
Deadline: 5/1/2025
Award Amount: Unknown
Eligibility: The student must reside within the area served by the U.S. Post Office in McDade.

Texas A&M Foundation Scholarship
The Texas A&M Foundation offers a wide variety of scholarships designed to expand access to higher education and support students from diverse backgrounds. One of these scholarships is the Foundation Excellence Award (FEA). The FEA scholarship provides crucial financial assistance to qualifying students, including those from historically underserved groups, economically disadvantaged circumstances and underrepresented regions. The FEA scholarship will only be available to students applying through the Foundation using our application process.
We anticipate awarding approximately 200 scholarships to deserving students, helping them achieve their dreams of becoming Aggies.

McDade Parent Teacher Incorporation

Eligibility: Scholarship applicants must reside in the area served by the USPS in McDade, TX or be a McDade ISD enrolled senior.
Note: After submitting your application to Mrs. Williams at the elementary school (you can also drop off at High School Office), if you are a finalist, you will be notified to schedule an interview for the final decision.
South Central Cattlewomen's Association

Bastrop County Real Estate Professionals Scholarship
Due Date: 2/28/225
Amount: minimum award is $1,000

Elgin Masonic Lodge Scholarship
The Elgin Masonic lodge is proud to help fill the financial gap
for families by offering scholarships for Elgin and McDade high school
seniors to attend accredited colleges, universities, or approved trade
schools.
ELIGIBILITY:
• Must be a graduating high school senior.
• Must be an Elgin or McDade resident.
• Must plan to attend an accredited college, university, or trade, school.

Notes: The application must be mailed by the student to the address shown on the application instructions. There is no application form to fill out. The student must write and gather the information requested, obtain two letters of recommendation, and mail to the address given.
