The McDade High School Varsity Cross Country Team traveled last Monday to Corpus Christi to participate in the Texas 1A, Region IV meet, hosted by the University of Texas A&M Corpus Christi. We had three individual runners qualify under Head Coach and Athletic Director, Nick Parker. The Lady Bulldogs were represented by sophomore Summer Jacobs, who competed in the 3200 meter run. Summer Jacobs qualified for the State competition with a time of 14:32:23 and will be competing in Round Rock at Old Settlers Park on November 3rd, 2023. The McDade boys were well represented by Senior Sebastian Velasquez and Junior Colby Miller who competed in the 5000 meter run. Sebastian finished with a time of 20.54.51 and Colby finished with a time of 22.09.46. Congratulations to the McDade Bulldog team for a great cross-country season.
